California Proposition 65 Notice

This notice is provided under California's Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (Proposition 65).

WARNING: Many auto parts and vehicle components, including some of the products sold by Total Auto Parts Direct, can expose you to chemicals including lead and lead compounds, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

About this notice

The warning applies to products that may be shipped to California. Used auto parts can contain or be made with metals, plastics, rubber, vinyl, fluids and residues from use that may include Proposition 65 listed chemicals. Batteries and lead-containing parts are a common example. Wash your hands after handling parts and wear gloves and eye protection when working on a vehicle.

This notice is a general warning; it does not mean that a particular product violates any product safety standard. Warnings may also appear on product packaging or invoices.
